This is a space for my food randomness, or not so random-ness. My humor is off kilter, and sometimes I let a profanity slip, so try not to take offense.

There are only a few green bean recipes on this site at the moment. If you have a suggestion, or are looking for one and can’t find it. Let me know I have a few stashed away for a rainy day.

I like weird food, like bacon chocolate, and ketchup on my potato chips. Actually ketchup goes well on most anything. So if something grosses you out, don’t look.

Some of what I add here is driven by the people around me. Like Laurie demanding my orange cookie recipe so she can make some before christmas. Or Kevin and Korrin, who want vegetarian and vegan recipes (i’ll get to those one day guys really!). So I’m not opposed to requests!

Here’s an IM conversation between a friend and I that sums many things up:

Katrina: Someone told me it was a good idea.
Brak: uh..

Katrina: Hi! I’m Katrina and I like to cook. I’ve been cooking since I figured out how to climb up onto the counter. I really like greenbeans, and sweets, and I enjoy a challenge.
Brak: you could talk a little about yerself and what you like to cook, if you like that sorta thing
   or what you really hate to cook :O
Katrina: haha yeah
     like broccoli
     i really don’t like broccoli…
     or healthy stuff, lol
Brak: hehehe you sound like C, he says it tastes like tree bark
Katrina: it smells bad
Brak: heh heh. you know, i love broccoli, but it reaaly does smell bad
Katrina: and ya have to chew too much for the stems
     i just eat the tops
     i’m like a giraffe, lol
Brak: hehehe yeah most folk are like that
     the trick is to cook the stems longer than the tops.
Katrina: even when the stems are cooked i’m still not too big of a fan
Brak: hehehe yeah thats true

     they were all goofy as hell

Brak: :( boo, yeah it sure will, prolly later tonight!
Katrina: true! i should go program the tv now, brb

Katrina: ya, her 30 minutes
Brak: ooooooh!
     i see
     yeap gas alright
     beans need to be cooked more 30 minutes
Katrina: yeah, definitely
Brak: but yeah, me supa sleepy so i guess i’ll go to bed
Katrina: yis no work tonight?
Brak: na, working days
Katrina: suckage
Brak: for next 3 weeks
     but i have most of it off
Katrina: yay!
Brak: so its okay. ish.
Katrina: yeah
